PS5 File Explorer v0.2.1 is the first full release of this fork's expanded File Explorer build.
Credit: this project is a fork of BFpilot by ItsBlurf. Original project: https://github.com/ItsBlurf/BFpilot
Highlights:
- Renamed BFpilot fork to PS5 File Explorer / File Explorer while preserving original Git history.
- Added the redesigned browser UI and Activity panel for long-running jobs.
- Added PS5-side ZIP and RAR upload/extract flows.
- Added local ZIP/RAR extraction for archives already on the PS5.
- Added PFS/PFSC compression/decompression support, including exFAT-oriented flows.
- Added persistent activity logs, overwrite backup/restore controls, and recursive Make Executable tooling.
Assets:
- file-explorer-core.elf: recommended first-run payload with launcher code disabled for maximum compatibility.
- file-explorer.elf: full payload with optional PS5 launcher tile support.
Build/verification:
- Built from tag file-explorer-v0.2.1 with PS5_PAYLOAD_SDK=/Users/jumasayeh/Developer/ps5-payload-sdk and LLVM 18.
- file-explorer-core.elf SHA256: 6d4b905b42727dddeaedddb2a657ed0d4e7110ddd068a6daab0aafb2ba32604b
